Priyal
The enthusiastic founder Surf & Yoga Retreats is an adventurous surfer. If he doesn’t catch the best waves, he always up for a chat.
His lifelong love affair with surfing kicked off in the south of Bali. He has always felt at home in the deep blue.
Priyal launched his first surf school in 2012 and his Surf & Yoga camp in 2014 with passion and love. He can answer all questions about the secret spots in the jungle island and surfing in the tropics.
Nastassia
Co-Founder
A few years ago, Nastassia quit her Belgian lawyer job to follow her passion for surf and yoga. Since then, she has become a key part of the Surf & Yoga Retreats family, traveling from Europe to Asia with one goal: making guests feel at home and creating lasting, mindful connections.
When she discovered Lombok, she instantly fell in love with its beauty and surf culture, inspiring her to create a retreat here, and so she did.
Her vision focuses on surfing the world’s finest waves while honoring local culture and preserving the island’s pristine nature.
Judith
Manager
Judith is our manager and the core of the team: a warm, independent woman passionate about people, culture, and meaningful connections. With over 20 years in hospitality and customer service, she knows how to make others feel truly welcome and valued.
Born in Java and having spent 15 years in Bali, she embraced its rich traditions and vibrant community. Now in Lombok, Judith is excited to explore, grow, and share her love for genuine connection.
She’s also a devoted mother of two and enjoys stories over coffee.
Carina Lisa
200h Yoga Teacher in Hatha & Ashtanga – 50h in Bhakti Yoga – Breathwork Facilitator, Sound Journey, Cacao Ceremony
Carina Lisa is from Switzerland and has lived in Indonesia since 2020. A pediatric nurse, dancer, and musician, she has studied holistic health since 2014, focusing on yoga teacher training in India, sound therapy, breathwork, herbal medicine, and Ayurveda.
At Surf & Yoga Lombok, she teaches Hatha, Ashtanga, Yin, and Restorative yoga, leads breathwork and sound healing sessions, and hosts cacao ceremonies.
Driven by a deep connection to inner peace and health, Carina shares her knowledge to help others on their holistic health journey.
CHARLOTTE
RYT 500h Yoga Teacher & Hypnotic Breathwork Facilitator
Charlotte’s yoga journey began eight years ago while working as a lawyer under great pressure. Seeking stress relief and drawn to well-being, she found her outlet in yoga right outside her office.
Practicing during breaks, she grew passionate about yoga’s transformative effects. She completed her 200-hour training in Bali in 2022 and is progressing with her 300-hour training in India.
Recently trained in hypnotic Breathwork, Charlotte believes yoga is more than physical. She’s dedicated to sharing yoga’s magic, helping others overcome stress, overthinking, and find their inner strength and growth.

Meet Rifaah, a local legend from Gerupuk, Lombok. Born and raised here, he’s spent over 20 years mastering the waves and is one of the area’s first surf instructors.
With deep knowledge of every break and swell, Rifaah offers more than surf lessons, he helps you connect with the ocean. His calm, patient, and kind nature makes you feel safe and confident.
Devoted to surfing and sharing his passion, Rifaah is the perfect guide to experience the magic of Gerupuk Bay.

Meet Edik, the silent culinary master from Lombok. Born and raised here, he combines rich local traditions with influences from years of traveling between Bali and Lombok.
A devoted father, Edik balances family life with his passion for cooking. With expertise in vegetarian dishes, seafood, and more, he’s a versatile chef dedicated to crafting delicious meals.
At Surf & Yoga Lombok, Edik brings his lifelong culinary journey to your plate, creating flavors that reflect both tradition and innovation.

Chef Assistant
Meet Azas, a warm-hearted young chef from Lombok with a contagious smile and a love for singing while cooking. His passion for food began in elementary school and has grown ever since.
Azas spent years in Malaysia learning from local experts and refining his skills. He blends traditional Lombok flavors with creative twists, making every dish special.
Whether cooking classic recipes or trying new ones, his dedication and joy shine through. Get ready to enjoy his delicious creations made with love, laughter, and plenty of flavor!
Tini
Cleaning Queen
Meet Tini, your friendly Lombok host. Born and raised in Lombok, she’s a sweet and shy local gem who brings warmth to every guest’s stay.
With over a year on our team, Tini ensures your room is always clean, cozy, and welcoming. Though quiet at first, her kindness shines through her bright smile and eagerness to help.
Rooted deeply in Lombok’s culture, she adds authentic local charm to your experience. We’re lucky to have her, and you’ll appreciate her thoughtful care too.
