Escape to one of Indonesia’s hidden corners for a week of surf, yoga and slow island living.
The island we are heading to still offers a slower pace of life, quieter line-ups than many of Indonesia’s better-known destinations and a truly authentic atmosphere.
Limited to just eight guests, this intimate retreat is designed for those seeking meaningful experiences, genuine connections and a different way to discover Indonesia.
WHY WE CREATED THIS RETREAT
We didn’t choose this destination because it was the most famous.
In fact, we were looking for the opposite.
A place where mornings begin with coffee overlooking the lineup.
Where you don’t spend hours driving between surf spots because the ocean is right in front of your home.
A place where afternoons are shaped by the changing tides, evenings end with shared dinners overlooking the sea and life naturally slows down.
It’s not about finding the “perfect” wave.
It’s about remembering why we fell in love with surfing in the first place.

A week designed to slow down, reconnect and surf some of Indonesia’s most beautiful waves.
Wake up, check the conditions from the terrace and walk (or take our boat) just a few steps to the lineup.
Overlooking the ocean, your beachfront home becomes the perfect place to relax between surfs, enjoy long dinners and watch the tides roll in.

Perched directly in front of the surf, your beachfront villa becomes much more than somewhere to sleep.
Start the day checking the waves from the terrace, spend lazy afternoons by the pool between surfs and finish each evening sharing dinner as the sun disappears over the ocean.
With spacious shared areas, tropical gardens and ensuite bedrooms, it offers the perfect balance of comfort, connection and privacy.

THE SURF EXPERIENCE
One of the greatest things about this retreat is the variety of waves within easy reach of the villa.
When conditions line up, we’ll surf the powerful right-hander directly in front of your home.
On bigger days, or for those looking for a more forgiving session, we’ll head to nearby breaks offering softer, more playful waves.
And when the forecast calls for it, we’ll explore other iconic waves, including one of Indonesia’s longest left-handers.
With so many options close by, there’s no need to spend hours travelling between surf spots. More time in the water, more time to relax, and more time to enjoy the slower rhythm of island life.
Rather than surfing the same wave every day, our experienced local coaches choose the best conditions based on the swell, the tide and the group’s ability—helping you progress while making every session memorable.

To preserve the unique character of our Destination Retreats, the exact location is shared once you submit an enquiry or express a genuine interest in joining.
Before confirming your booking, you’ll receive full details about the destination, accommodation, travel logistics and itinerary, giving you everything you need to make an informed decision with complete confidence.
This retreat is designed for intermediate to advanced surfers who are comfortable paddling into unbroken waves and catching their own waves. The surf programme is adapted to the group’s level and the daily conditions.

We’ll provide detailed travel information before you confirm your booking and will help you organise your journey. Once you arrive at the designated meeting point, all transfers to the retreat are included.
Absolutely. Many of our guests travel solo, and our retreats are intentionally designed to create a welcoming and supportive atmosphere. Most people leave with lifelong friends.
To ensure a personal experience, each retreat is limited to a maximum of 8 guests.
To provide the best possible experience, we require a minimum of 6 confirmed guests. If this number isn’t reached, we’ll notify you no later than 6 weeks before departure and offer you the choice of a full refund or transferring your booking to a future retreat.
Yes. We strongly recommend that all guests purchase comprehensive travel insurance covering medical expenses, surfing activities and trip cancellation.
