WHY WE CREATED THIS RETREAT

We wanted to create a different kind of surf trip.
Somewhere away from Indonesia’s better-known surf destinations, where the waves are still the focus but the experience doesn’t revolve around crowded line-ups, long drives and packed surf camps.
Imagine waking up with the ocean in front of your home, choosing your surf according to the day’s conditions, slowing down between sessions and ending the day with yoga and dinner by the sea.
A week to surf more, slow down and experience a quieter side of Indonesia.

WHO IS THIS RETREAT FOR?
This retreat is for surfers who want more than just another surf trip.
It’s best suited to intermediate to advanced surfers who are comfortable surfing independently and want to explore a variety of Indonesian waves.
It’s for those who prefer small groups over crowded surf camps, enjoy combining surfing with yoga and slow island living, and don’t mind travelling a little further to experience somewhere less familiar.
Lower intermediate surfers can also be a good fit depending on their experience and confidence in the water.
Your home for the week
Some places make it difficult to leave. This is one of them.
Perched directly in front of the surf, your beachfront villa becomes much more than somewhere to sleep.
Start the day checking the waves from the terrace, spend lazy afternoons by the pool between surfs and finish each evening sharing dinner as the sun disappears over the ocean.
With spacious shared areas, tropical gardens and ensuite bedrooms, it offers the perfect balance of comfort, connection and privacy.

THE SURF EXPERIENCE
One of the greatest things about this retreat is the variety of waves within easy reach of the villa.
When conditions line up, we’ll surf the powerful right-hander directly in front of your home.
On bigger days, or for those looking for a more forgiving session, we’ll head to nearby breaks offering softer, more playful waves.
And when the forecast calls for it, we’ll explore other iconic waves, including one of Indonesia’s longest left-handers.
With so many options close by, there’s no need to spend hours travelling between surf spots. More time in the water, more time to relax, and more time to enjoy the slower rhythm of island life.
Rather than surfing the same wave every day, our experienced local coaches choose the best conditions based on the swell, the tide and the group’s ability—helping you progress while making every session memorable.

To preserve the unique character of the destination, we don’t publicly disclose the exact location. Once you express genuine interest, we’ll share the destination and all the details you need to decide whether the retreat is right for you — including the accommodation, travel logistics and itinerary. You won’t be asked to book without knowing where you’re going.
The retreat is best suited to intermediate → advanced surfers who are comfortable surfing independently. Lower intermediate surfers can also be a good fit depending on their experience and confidence in the water. If you’re unsure, you’re welcome to send us a short video of you surfing and we’ll happily help you assess whether the retreat is right for you.

The retreat takes place on a remote island in Eastern Indonesia. The journey requires a little more planning than travelling to Bali or Lombok, but we’ll provide you with detailed travel instructions. Once you arrive at the designated meeting point, all transfers to the retreat are included.
Absolutely. Many of our guests travel solo, and our retreats are intentionally designed to create a welcoming and supportive atmosphere. Most people leave with lifelong friends.
To ensure a personal experience, each retreat is limited to a maximum of 8 guests.
To provide the best possible experience, we require a minimum of 6 confirmed guests. If this number isn’t reached, we’ll notify you no later than 6 weeks before departure and offer you the choice of a full refund or transferring your booking to a future retreat.
Yes. We strongly recommend that all guests purchase comprehensive travel insurance covering medical expenses, surfing activities and trip cancellation.
